we’ll put aside my love for dorne and the dornish for a second and focus on this purely for storyline, instead of my intense anger that they’re sidelining to the point of removal one of my darling martells (bitter who me).

recap on dornish policy: your gender does not work against you. arianne martell is heir to dorne. there is no debate about this. she’s the eldest child of prince doran and as such, according to dornish custom, she’s the heir. this alone should skyrocket her to the top of the list for characters to be cast, considering they’re showing dorne next season.

but how about her actual storyline? how about her plot? how about “you will not rob me of my birthright”? how about the actual character that is arianne martell?

quick summary for those who want to avoid spoilers: arianne martell is inextricably linked from the fate of myrcella baratheon, of arys oakheart, of any of the plays for power and vengeance that erupt from the dornish playing the game of thrones. arianne is integral.
